Standard 3: Planning and Implementation
Physical education candidates apply content and foundational knowledge to plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning experiences aligned with local, state and/or SHAPE America National Standards and Grade-Level Outcomes for K-12 Physical Education through the effective use of resources, accommodations and/or modifications, technology and metacognitive strategies to address the diverse needs of all students.
3a.
Plan and implement appropriate (e.g., measurable, developmentally appropriate, performance-based) short-and long-term plan objectives that are aligned with local, state and/or SHAPE America National Standards and Grade-Level Outcomes for K-12 Physical Education.
***Here is a lesson plan that I completed with the appropriate standards, as well as objectives for that day.

***This document is a block plan for a Volleyball unit. You will be able to see how the skills built upon each other for students to be able to play a successful game at the end of the unit. Of course it will be more drawn out than this, but this is just an example that I created for a course.

Plan and implement progressive and sequential content that aligns with short-and long-term plan objectives and that addresses the diverse needs of all students.
|
3c.
Plan for and manage resources to provide active, fair and equitable learning experiences.
***It is important to have enough equipment for students individually or students to work in pairs. This is important, because when students don't have things to do due to waiting, they tend to get in trouble. Also, enough equipment allows for each student to get more repetitions and chances to get better.

***Here is a guide that I had to create for individuals with disabilities. This guide will be able to assist me with ways to differentiate instruction based on the disability, as well as being able to have appropriate accommodations for students to maximize their learning experience.
|
Plan and implement individualized instruction for diverse student needs, adding specific accommodations and/or modifications for all students.

3e.
Plan and implement learning experiences that require students to use technology appropriately in meeting one or more short- and long- term plan objective(s).
***Below is my lesson plan when I implemented technology into my lesson. We were in our Fitness unit. Students had to complete 3 rounds of "Would You Rather?" When it goes off, more videos come up, so the students were excited to choose other ones.
3f.
Plan and implement learning experiences that engage students in using metacognitive strategies appropriately to analyze their own performance results.
***This is a chart that my students used in order to analyze their own performance during our Fitnessgram unit. They had to compare their pre-test results to the Fitnessgram components numbers according to their age group. And at the end of the unit, students would input their post-test numbers. I wanted them to put their numbers in the chart to see their improvements and to be able to see the areas they need the most work. |
